Cookies
In force since 17 September 2026
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser to remember something. This site uses as few as possible, and asks for your consent before any cookie that is not essential to how it works.
This page says exactly what is stored, why, and for how long.
1. What is stored without your consent
Five things, all essential to the service you ask for. European law does not require consent for these, and you cannot refuse them without giving up the corresponding feature.
Your cart (“il_panier”, thirty days). It keeps the pieces you have added — with their material, size and quantity — and nothing else: not your name, not your address, not your means of payment. Without it, your cart would be empty on every page.
Your language (“il_langue”, one year), only if you choose it at the top of the page. It brings you back to that language when you return through the address i-l.be.
Your account session (cookies whose name begins with “sb-”). They are set only if you sign in to your account, and keep you signed in from one page to the next. They are removed when you sign out.
Your choice on this page. It is kept in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, under the name “il-cookies”, so that we do not ask you again at every visit. It never leaves your browser.
The administration session (“__Host-il_admin” and three related technical cookies). They only concern the people who run the site, and are set only after they sign in. A session lasts seven days at most, and ends after twelve hours of inactivity.
2. Audience measurement, if you accept it
If — and only if — you click “Accept”, the site loads Google Analytics 4 to count visits: which pages are read, for how long, from what kind of device. It tells us what interests visitors and what does not, not to follow you elsewhere.
Until you have answered, nothing is loaded: not even Google’s script. No data, not even your IP address, is sent to Google before you agree.
The cookies set in that case are called “_ga” and “_ga_” followed by the measurement ID. They keep a random number that recognises the same browser from one page to the next without knowing who you are. They last thirteen months.
Advertising is explicitly refused in Google’s consent settings: no data is used for ad targeting or shared with advertisers. Google acts here as a processor; data may be processed outside the European Union, under the legal framework Google states for this service.
If you click “Decline”, nothing is loaded, and any “_ga” cookies left by a previous visit are deleted at once.
3. Changing your choice, at any time
The “Cookies” link at the bottom of every page asks the question again. Your new choice replaces the old one at once, and declining deletes the analytics cookies.
You can also clear this site’s data in your browser settings: we will then ask again at your next visit, like the first time.
A browser set to refuse all cookies works here: only your cart is no longer kept from one page to the next, and you cannot stay signed in to your account.
4. Payment and outside services
If you choose to pay with PayPal, your browser goes to PayPal’s site, outside this one, which sets its own cookies, on its own domain, to secure the transaction and detect fraud. This site never sees your card number or your PayPal login. A bank transfer sets no cookie at all.
The public pages load no social media button, no outside font, no map and no video hosted elsewhere. The photos and videos of the pieces are served from the site’s own hosting.
5. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, and object to its processing, by writing to the address on the Contact page. You can also delete your customer account yourself, from “My account”. The privacy policy details what is kept with an order, a message or a newsletter sign-up.
If you are not satisfied with an answer, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — dataprotectionauthority.be).
